Help

RehabJobBoards.com and its sister sites -- PTJobBoard, OTJobBoard and SLPJobBoard -- were designed to provide simple and effective rehabilitation career assistance for both job seekers and for employers seeking top candidates in the OT, PT and SLP fields.

The website was designed with these two user groups in mind -- Job Seekers and Employers (aka Job Posters).  When creating a user account on the website, the user is given the option to select one of these two roles.  This choice will drive which options are available to the logged-in user when they are using the website.

Job Seekers

Logged-in users whose account has been set as a "Job Seeker" have access to several features, presented as round buttons on the button bar that runs vertically down the center of the web page.

The Search button (available to all users; seekers or employers) takes the user back to the starting page of the website, the Search page.  This is where searches can be performed to find available jobs based on user-provided search criteria.  Both simple searches and advanced can be performed on this page.

The My Profile button (available to Job Seekers) takes the Job Seeker to their Profile system.  From here, the job seeker can create/manage their Seeker Profile (shown to employers who are searching for viable candidates), add a Resume, manage Job Alerts (emails sent every night alerting seekers to jobs available based on their search criteria), and view Bookmarks that they might have set while perusing lists of available jobs.

The My Bookmarked Jobs button allows the user quick access to their list of bookmarked job listings.  From there, they can manage their bookmarks or jump directly to one (or more, for comparison) of their bookmarked listings.

Job Posters

Logged-in users whose account has been set as a "Job Poster" (Employer) have access to several features unique to those wishing to post new jobs listings to RehabJobBoards and its sister boards.  It is important to understand that, due to the unique 3-in-1 nature of our job boards, all job posting activities pass through the umbrella RehabJobBoards.com site.  Depending on what category a posted job is identified with, the job will show up on the appropriate sub-board.  ALL jobs show up if searched through RehabJobBoards.com itself.

The My Employer Accounts button provides access to the most important features for any job poster -- job posting tools!  This set of advanced tools has been created to provide quick and effective management of existing job listings and fast entry of new jobs.  The individual tools provided in this area are detailed below:

  • My Company Info - This link actually takes the job poster to the Change Settings tool, which allows them to add specific information about their employer, including name, website address, and a company logo, which can be uploaded by clicking on the Browse button and choosing a local file on the user's computer.
  • View Accounts/Post Jobs - This tool is the primary means by which a job poster may add new job listings to the job boards.  Clicking on this link will first show a list of purchased Job Posting Accounts (or free trials).  An account is necessary before jobs can be posted to the boards.  A link is also provided for purchasing a new account.  Accounts have a limited lifespan and expire some time after purchase.  Once all job accounts have expired, new accounts must be purchased before jobs can be added or existing jobs updated.
    • If the user has one or more Job Posting Accounts available, the account will be listed in the table, along with three colorful icons to the right of the account row.  These icons are the 3 means by which jobs can be input into the job boards:

      1. Use Post a Job to manually post a single job listing.  This is an effective way to add individual listings if you don't have a large number that need to be added.
      2. Use Upload a Jobs File if you want to batch-upload a large number of job listings at once, using a single file, either in XML or CSV format.  Specifications for how this file should be formatted can be found here.
      3. Use Attach a Jobs Feed if your company provides a CSV- or XML-based jobs feed that our site may receive on a nightly basis.  To make our site aware of your feed, simply click this link, then enter your company's feed's URL.  (If you don't know your feed URL, ask the person in your company responsible for providing this external feed.)

  • Manage Job Listings - If a job poster has already posted job listings to our boards and still have an account job posting account, they may, at any time, update certain information about these listings.  Other information, however, cannot be changed once a job has been posted (to prevent abuse of our system).  Click on this link and the user will be presented with a complete management system, in table form, listing all of their jobs and providing Edit and Delete functionality.
  • View Past Purchases - For a quick listing of past Job Posting Account purchases, the user can click on this link.  The prior purchases are shown in a table-style listing.
  • Purchase a Job Posting Account - This link is a quick shortcut directly to the Job Account Purchase system.

The Search Job Candidates button is only available to Job Posters, and is only available if they have a current, active Posting Account that grants Seeker Access.  Clicking this button provides access to a simple tool, much like the Job Search system.  Searches with this tool will list matching candidates who have chosen to enter Job Profiles and/or Resumes.  Links connected to each Job Seeker block in the results allow the user to view that candidate's Profile and/or Resume (if available).
